Recycled ferrous scrap is the most environmental friendly raw-material for steel and iron industry by saving 74% energy, 90% virgin material, 40% water, 76% less water pollution, 86% less air pollution and no mining waste. On top of this, carbon dioxide is reduced by 58%.

Besides our scrap trading activities, Carbones operates 3 deep-sea scrap facilities in the port of Dordrecht (NL) and Rotterdam (NL) as well as Marghera (IT).

From here we ship several grades of recycled ferrous scrap to our global customers, mainly in bulk carriers up to 50.000 t each.
